Accounting
QuickBooks Online
Status: In development.
Each workspace connects its own QuickBooks Online company over OAuth 2.0. Work is done in Alzar, then exported to QuickBooks for accounting and tax. QuickBooks never rewrites Alzar records, with one exception: a payment recorded in QuickBooks marks the matching Alzar invoice Paid.
| Alzar | QuickBooks | Direction and trigger |
|---|---|---|
| Client | Customer | Alzar → QuickBooks, on demand |
| Invoice | Invoice | Alzar → QuickBooks, when marked Sent |
| Payment (Stripe, PayPal, Moov, manual) | Payment linked to the invoice | Alzar → QuickBooks, when marked Paid |
| Payment recorded in QuickBooks | Invoice becomes Paid | QuickBooks → Alzar, automatically |
Not included: expense/bill sync (planned), QuickBooks Payments card processing, non-US companies.
Alzar Books
Status: Beta.
Alzar Books is a separate application with its own ledger, invoice list and profit-and-loss view per workspace.
- One-way sync. Alzar Logic pushes financial events to Alzar Books through signed webhooks. Books never writes back.
- Single sign-on. Users open Alzar Books with their existing Alzar Logic identity.
- Historical sync. Existing records can be back-filled so the ledger starts complete.
